Subjects Taught

I graduated from Ohio University in 1996 with a Bachelor Degree in Sport Sciences and a Minor in Business Administration.  I then attended NFCC, Florida State University, and the University of Phoenix and in 2011 I earned my education certification for the State of Florida in Middle Grades Math 5-9 and Physical Education K-12.

I have been teaching since 1999.  I started at Greenville Hills Academy, located in Greenville, Fl, from 1999-2003 teaching Physical Education for 6th thru 12th grade.  In August 2003, I took a new job at Atlantis Academy in Tallahassee.  I taught Physical Education 1st thru 12th grade, Math, and Life Management from 2003-2008.  In August 2008, I started teaching at Care Charter School in Monticello, Florida.  There I taught Physical Education for K-5th grade until November 2009.  I then took a job teaching AVID at Jefferson County Middle High School until July 2010.  I then started teaching at MCCS in August 2012.  I have been teaching 7th grade math and Algebra I for the past 4 years and look forward to many more at MCCS.

I am happily married to a Madison County Native, Mimi Stephens.  I have 3 beautiful daughters ages 12, 6, and 4.  All 3 attend MCCS.  I love to participate and watch all sports.  I really enjoy teaching math and look forward to doing it a long time.
